Yorktown

Yorktown is in America’s History Triangle along with the Colonial towns of Williamsburg and Jamestown, a settlement where the first boats landed in 1607.

Yorktown is known for 400 years of history and its famous Civil War battles. Yorktown was the settlement in 1781 where the British forces surrendered to George Washington, this effectively ending the Revolutionary War and led to America’s independence.

This charming waterfront’s boardwalk boast great concerts, fireworks and some of the best waterfront restaurants. Much of York County is riddled with creeks and bays for fishing and boating. The area has some of the most beautiful and serene waterfront communities.
